If you’ve read this blog for any time at all, you’ve seen mentions of both Bryan Allain and the BlogRocket Community. Both are excellent resources for bloggers; in fact, Bryan started BlogRocket out of a desire to help bloggers grow their platforms, hone their writing voices, and build tangible relationships with other bloggers.
Through BlogRocket, I’ve corresponded with:
Jeff Goins, who is a juggernaut of writing advice (and all-around good guy).
Tor Constantino, a writer and blogger out of Maryland, and a kindred soul. (A little bird told me to tell you to come back tomorrow for more about Tor. Just sayin’).
Sharideth Smith, a writer and blogger based in Nashville. She routinely beats me at Words With Friends (me shakes fist). In fact, she and I swapped posts yesterday. That was fun! I’ve said it before, and I’m sure I wil again, Sharideth is Christianity’s Wednesday Addams.
MotorCop, an officer of the law living somewhere in California, and one of the funniest police officers you’ll ever meet!
It was a real treat this week getting to meet–in living color–Ben Emerson. If I hadn’t had to go back to work, we could’ve talked for hours. (I imagine it would much the same with any of the folks I’ve included above).
And really getting to meet Ben in real life typifies exactly what Bryan is trying to with BlogRocket; namely, build community.
I don’t want to speak for anyone else, but for myself, it’s a great feeling to be part of a “tribe” that cares, that’s doing the work, going places, and getting it done.
Bryan, I know I razz you a little online, but kudos to you on an outstanding job with BlogRocket!
That said, if you’re not flying on the BlogRocket, why not? Get in there, kick the tires–you’ll find kindred souls who care about the same things you care about. Trust me.
(The above list is just a sampling of the fine folks flying on the BlogRocket–there are tons more; like: Jamie Golden, Shawn Smucker, Caleb Wilde, the funniest funeral director anywhere, and Michael Perkins. Michael did the awesome redesign of my blog that we’re all enjoying; however, uber-talented though he is, even he couldn’t do anything with my nose).
The following folks are great bloggers, but are not yet on the good ship BlogRocket:
