I Don’t Know My Worth

Let me cut to the chase: I don’t know my worth. Am unsure of it, constantly questioning, probing, trying to find my place.

Don’t misunderstand: I know what the Bible says, that Christ loved me enough–loved us all enough–to die. But I sometimes feel lost.

Like this week. Life is harder than it’s been in a long time.

Good morning, America! I’m so glad to live in you. I have much, and much to be thankful for this 4th of July. And I am. Very thankful that I have the freedom to stay up all hours of the night working on this blog (it moved, hope you noticed), and the freedom to go right back to bed. It’s a holiday (here in a America), which means I don’t gotta go to work today. And I’m very thankful for that!

So without further ado, goodnight, America! I’m going back to bed. Thanks for giving me the freedom to sleep in today. I’ll catch up with you later at the buffet.
