Blank Page/Intimidation: a Poem

Blank page/intimidation

Knowing not what to say

(Words, where are you today?)

Fired in the kiln of ‘life’

Gone to activity’s immolation:

Like ashes, fluttering away

On the wind:

Thomas wants “rage, rage”

But today?

Today, I’m too tired to fight

(Lord, bathe me in light).

  • Way cooler than my new Salutary Limerick on my blog.

    Nice job!

    • Thank-you, sir!

Now to go checkout your limerick.

  • Interesting. Larry The Deuce and Rob Shep have a similar style to their blog posts today.

    • Must be the conference call?

      (Hmm… Wasn’t planned, & haven’t read theirs yet).

  • You’re a poet, Chad. I like it! I know the feeling of blank page intimidation.

    • Thanks, Stephen!

      It’s a scary/wonderful thing--the blank page.

    And this is so good.

That blinking cursor always gives me the stink-eye.

    • Thank-you! I know, right? Curse the cursor! 😉
