Not Alone: Stories of Living with Depression #NotAlone @AliseWrite

In case you didn’t know, I’m contributing author in the Not Alone book, which was edited by the incomparable Alise Wright, and published by Civitas Press.

I’ve said before that I’m proud to have contributed, and humbled to included in such a great group of writers.

Depression, like God, is no respecter of persons; it crosses all social, cultural, racial, economic, and gender boundaries. Never in my wildest imaginings did I think that my first published piece would be an account of my struggle with depression. But there it is.

Why did I do it? Share my story? Despite our differences, I suspect it was for the same reason as the other contributors: so that people would know they’re not alone.

You’re not alone.

There is hope, help, peace, power in shared story. It is my sincere hope, as with the other authors, that this book is a gift to you.

That in going first, we’ve given you the courage to go second–to share your story.

You’re not alone.

Get your copy here: on Amazon. Gift copies to friends and family members. Coworkers. Anyone you know who might be going through depression, or loves someone struggling with depression.

If you do, please be sure to leave a review on Amazon. Thanks!
